Charming New Cat Café in Dartford Offers Sanctuary for Abandoned Kittens

Mrs. Slocombe's Cat Café in Dartford provides a sanctuary for seven rescued kittens and promotes mental health through community engagement and animal rescue initiatives.

A delightful new cat café has recently opened in Dartford, providing a loving sanctuary for seven precious kittens who were unfortunately abandoned just before the Christmas season.

Welcome to Mrs. Slocombe’s Cat Café

Located on Chatham High Street, Mrs. Slocombe’s Cat Café invites visitors to engage with these lively siblings: six spirited males and one sweet female.

Alongside them, the café is home to nine other rescued feline friends, creating a cozy environment for all.

Jackie Cousins, one of the café’s co-directors, felt an overwhelming urge to take in all seven kittens after finding them left alone in a carrier.

She believes that since they have spent their lives together, it’s only fitting that they continue to do so.

Each little furball has been affectionately named after iconic characters from the beloved 1970s BBC sitcom, *Are You Being Served?*, adding an endearing touch to their already charming personalities.

Community and Mental Health Focus

Co-director Glinda Bishop emphasized the café’s mission to back local animal rescue efforts and initiatives that promote mental health.

She pointed out that interacting with cats can create a soothing and therapeutic atmosphere for many visitors.

Their goal is to become an integral part of the community while partnering with charities that support those facing mental health challenges.

A Delightful Retreat

With a mix of adorable kittens and a heartfelt mission to foster community support, Mrs. Slocombe’s Cat Café is poised to become a delightful retreat for cat enthusiasts and anyone seeking a moment of joy and connection.
