Local Plant Hire Company Rescues Stranded Cat from Rooftop After 24 Hours

A cat stranded on a rooftop in Leominster was rescued by Kit Hughes from Arrow Plant & Tool Hire, ensuring its safe return and veterinary check.

In a lovely twist of fate, a daring cat that found itself on the roof of a three-storey house has been successfully rescued, largely thanks to the prompt response of a local plant hire service.

Over the span of 24 hours, worried neighbors, including residents from a nearby care home on Etnam Street in Leominster, raised the alarm about the feline in distress.

Rescue Efforts Begin

Kit Hughes, a team member at Arrow Plant & Tool Hire, quickly stepped up to help.

With a cherry picker and a cat crate in tow, he climbed up the ladder, fully focused on the task at hand: bringing the adventurous cat back to safety.

As he approached the rooftop, the cat, sensing help was near, made its way towards him.

Kit seized the moment, scooping up the kitty just before it could slip.

Safe Return and Veterinary Check

Once they were safely back on the ground, the little black-and-white ball of energy was taken to a veterinary clinic, where the staff promptly scanned for a microchip in hopes of reuniting it with its owner.

Reflecting on the whole episode, Mr. Hughes shared that the cat appeared quite weary following its rooftop escapade, but thankfully, it was now safe.

A Meaningful Experience

While not specifically a cat lover, Kit felt a genuine sense of happiness in being part of the rescue.

His team had previously helped customers using ladders for pet recoveries from trees, but this was their first official rescue mission.

He expressed a deep sense of fulfillment, remarking on how wonderful it was to take part in a meaningful act that broke away from their usual routine.
