A much-loved feline, known for her adventurous spirit, has sadly passed away, leaving her family heartbroken.
Pixie, affectionately nicknamed the Applegreen Garage Cat, enjoyed 15 wonderful years of exploration, with a petrol station in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, becoming her cherished second home.
Her exploits captivated a devoted online following, attracting over 1,300 Facebook fans who delighted in her delightful antics.
Life and Adventures
Though she roamed freely, Pixie was frequently mistaken for a stray, leading to several trips to the vet as concerned passersby attempted to intervene.
In a distressing twist, she was captured in March 2024, as people assumed she was homeless.
Bex Hunt, Pixie’s loving owner, is now pouring her grief and affection for this incredible cat into a heartfelt tribute.
She envisions a mural of Pixie adorning an electrical box outside the garage, ensuring that the memory of her adventurous life endures.
Tragically, Pixie passed away on January 17 due to heart failure.
Although her family had been prepared for the eventuality, they were taken aback by how suddenly the loss occurred.
A Lasting Tribute
Recognized as a truly unique cat, Pixie left her paw prints on the hearts of everyone she met.
The wave of love and remembrance from across the UK and the US illustrates the deep impact she had on so many lives.
Bex expressed her gratitude for the kindness and support that the community showed towards Pixie, celebrating her independent spirit.
Currently, an artist named Jo Beck is working on a beautiful piece to honor Pixie, with the final design still in the planning stages.
The Facebook page dedicated to her life will remain active as a lasting tribute, and the local council has graciously approved the memorial project by the garage—a true reflection of the affection this extraordinary cat inspired.
